A Pod of Their Own, Episode 174: The tank is on

This week on the show, we talk about the rest of the trades the Mets made before the deadline, the fact that the Mets have not won a game since the deadline, and Brett Baty’s demotion to Triple-A.

Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.

This week, we begin by discussing the remaining trades that happened since we recorded last week: the Justin Verlander trade, the Tommy Pham trade, and the shuffling of bullpen arms. We talk about Starling Marte’s injury and Brett Baty’s demotion to Triple-A.

In our baseball segment this week, we talk about the Yankees, who are somehow even more embarrassing than the Mets right now. Similarly, the White Sox have devolved further into chaos.

Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
