Mets Daily Prospect Report, 9/25/23: That’s all folks (kinda)!

Catch up on all the Mets prospects in yesterday’s minor league action!

Syracuse Mets
Steve Sypa

Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (33-41/28-44)

SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 7, SYRACUSE 3 (BOX)

The Syracuse Mets lost 33 games in the first half, 27 in the second half, and fittingly, they lost their last game of the 2023 season. Ho hum. RailRiders first baseman Andres Chaparro homered in the top of the first inning to give Scranton the lead and they never looked back. Jose Chacin wasn’t good, but he wasn’t horrible either, allowing one more run in his four innings of work. David Griffin, on the other hand, was indeed horrible, allowing five runs over the next three innings. In the bottom of the seventh, Matt O’Neil, Wyatt Young, and Danny Mendick all drove in runs with a bases loaded walk, bases loaded single, and bases loaded force out, but that would be all Syracuse was able to muster.
