I hate this team
Plus $1.5m in incentives....um, just, wow. I think this overtakes Cora's deal in terms of pure stupidity.

According to the team's official Twitter. Terms of the deal not available yet but when they are it will be fun to compare with the Alex Cora contract. Edit: Per Ken Rosenthal, it's for 1 year and $1.55 million. Fangraphs provides some instant analysis. Cora got $2 million plus a vesting option. Who knows if Everett would have signed with the Mets but there is nothing to suggest the defensive superstar was even considered. However, Omar Minaya will be meeting with Bengie Molina's agent tonight.
Mets expected to meet with agent for John Lackey tonight, among many meetings. Unclear whether they could meet financial demands for Lackey.Bustah Olney
Using Sky's WAR spreadsheet, Bill James projections and a bit of estimatation to fill in gaps, the current Mets roster is projected to win 87 games. I made this spreadsheet editable so that if anyone wanted to change an estimate/add baserunning/better fielding projections they could.
