The power-hitting Todd Frazier, also known for his solid defense at the hot corner, was officially introduced as a Met earlier this week. And to celebrate his signing, our friends over at BreakingT came up with a Toddfather shirt. It looks like this:
You can buy the shirt here and rock it to support the New Jersey native, who signed a two-year, $17 million contract with the team.
And, of course, you can read more about Frazier here on the site, including how his salary sets up the Mets’ payroll at the moment, a recap of his introductory press conference, a deeper dive into Frazier’s individual numbers, and a look at the state of the Mets’ infield with him in it. And whatever happens over the next couple of seasons, Frazier’s contract should end up looking like a bargain. He hit 27 home runs last year with a .213/.344/.428 line and a 108 wRC+, numbers that combined with good defense to make him a 3.0 fWAR player on the season.
