BreakingT releases Mookie Magic Game 6 t-shirt

New, comments

The folks over at BreakingT have a pretty great shirt for Mookie’s big moment in Game 6 of the ‘86 World Series.

Our friends over at BreakingT have designed and released a new shirt featuring Mookie Wilson in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. Among the most beloved players in franchise history, Mookie had a hell of an at-bat before ultimately hitting the ball that went through Bill Buckner’s legs to cap off a wild finish to game that saw the Mets trailing by two entering the bottom of the tenth. And of course, winning that game sent the series to Game 7, which the Mets also won, albeit in slightly less dramatic fashion, to win their second World Series in team history.

I’D LIKE TO GET THAT SHIRT NOW, PLEASE.

Over the course of nine-and-a-half seasons with the Mets, Wilson hit .276/.318/.394. But the Mets were at their best when he was at his best—hitting .290/.345/.436 with a 118 OPS+ and 85 stolen bases in 111 attempts from 1985 through 1988. The team inducted Wilson into its own Hall of Fame in 1996.

GET ME TO THAT SHIRT.
