Celebrate the Francisco Lindor extension with a Mr. Smile shirt

The Mets made one of their biggest trades in franchise history yesterday, bringing in superstar shortstop Francisco Lindor and very good starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco. Ideally, the Mets will sign Lindor to a long-term extension sometime in the not-too-distant future. But for now, Mets fans should absolutely be basking in the glow of one of the best trades the team has ever made, having given up a fairly light return to a player of Lindor’s caliber. A year ago, it would have been unfathomable for the Mets to make that kind of move when Mookie Betts became available, but in the new reality, the Mets are a team that is able to take advantage of that kind of opportunity.
