Yesterday, the Mets announced the official return of their black jerseys, which will debut on July 30 and have been fully embraced by the team’s players. And today, our friends at BreakingT have released a shirt to celebrate those players’ love of the color: a “Back in Black” version of the LFGM shirt.

Pete Alonso, who coined LFGM, is also fully into the return of the uniforms, having shared a photo of himself edited into the black jersey on Instagram shortly after the news was publicly released yesterday. And the concept was celebrated at various points of the season by Mets players on social media before the official news, with Marcus Stroman and Tomas Nido having been among the players to voice their support of it.
