In celebration of the Mets’ black jerseys, our friends over at FOCO have been releasing a series of limited edition bobbleheads.
Yesterday, they released a brand new one featuring Francisco Lindor in the team’s recently-reintroduced black tops with blue lettering and piping and white pants. The bobblehead is limited to 321 pieces and is currently listed as available for pre-order on FOCO’s website.
The Mets and their fans are eagerly awaiting Lindor’s return to the field. The shortstop has been out for several weeks after injuring his oblique, but he’s been taking batting practice lately and aiming to get back into major league games as soon as possible.
In 364 plate appearances with the Mets this year, he’s hit .228/.326/.376 with 11 home runs, 8 stolen bases, and a 97 wRC+ while playing top-notch defense at short. And with any luck, he’ll be back on the field in time to rock the black jersey in the Mets’ home game against the Nationals on August 27.
FOCO has been putting out other black jersey-based bobbleheads recently, too, with Jacob deGrom, Pete Alonso, Marcus Stroman, and Mr. Met all featured in the series thus far.
